So you know how I briefly mentioned my messed-up sleep cycle? It's ridiculously ridiculous at this point. As in, "going to sleep at 7am, getting up at 5pm" ridiculous. So I've decided to forgo sleep just long enough to drop down, dead to the world, at a more worldly hour tonight. It's about to be 9am, currently.

Hence, while I'm not sleeping, I'll be sharing... wait for it... TV THOUGHTS OMG (whodathunkit), rather than waiting until Sunday and have this massive tl;dr post.

First I should say I got my grubby little mitts on the Caprica pilot last night (uh, Sunday night - lolol this no-sleep thing is already screwing with my perception). I'll place copious amounts of spoiler space after my reactions so you don't have to see any of that inadvertantly.

Caprica, 1x00: Pilot

Caprican technology was a lot more advanced than I'd expected, for some reason, so that was a little odd at first but within minutes I was ~used~ to it already.

I really really REALLY want to know if Daniel Graystone is the Daniel, omfg. Y'know, 'cause "all of this has happened before and will happen again" and all. (And also the ~one true god~ worship was evidently not something only Cylons bought into and perpetrated.)

Not gonna lie, eventhough I knew better, I was still kinda hoping to see SURPRISE ANDERS at the pyramid game. :( LOL, I'm so sad.

Also, my predikshunz let me show you it: Joseph/Daniel slash in ur intarwebz in 3... 2... 1... I'M JUST SAYING. IT'S BASICALLY A FACT.

Okay, okay! Less superficiality, more commentary. Idk guys, it looks pretty good to me! I'm definitely interested in seeing more. It clearly has potential for depth and worldly relevance in the same way BSG did, although I might be more reserved about the story's shelf life. Zoe's avatar needs to get less annoying, stat. The ~Soldiers Of The One~ plotline needs to not become as central to the overall narrative as it seems set up to be. Joseph Adama needs, paradoxically, to get less involved with the mafia (wtf was that) and more BAD ASS. But just so y'all know, I am definitely there if/when more episodes become available.

Last but not least, Bear McCreary's score was absolutely magnificent throughout the whole thing.

And now, spoiler space before I talk about regularly scheduled Monday night TV...

lol, will that do?

Chuck: 2x20, Chuck Versus The First Kill

Basically? AWW.

LOL @ Chuck's ~kill~. To be honest, if he's ever going to intentionally end someone's life, I think that could be a great, albeit tragic, angle from which to explore his character further. Because you know, you know something like that would/will be a major traumatic event for him, and I'd like to see how or if he's able to cope with it.

I sort of wish they hadn't brought Jill back into this whole mix, because now I'm not sure what to think of her anymore. LOL! It's just not nice! :(

General Beckman: HDU!! :( Loved Casey's reaction when she informed him and Sarah that Operation Moron the Human Intersect Project was to be terminated. And I like that he only goes along with the evil plan of evil because underground is the safest place for Chuck <3 BUT I AM SO GLAD SARAH TOLD HIM THE TRUTH OMG! EXCITING ENDIIIIIIING! AAAAAAAAAAH! :DDD

House, 5x21: Saviors

AS PER USUAL for the last couple of seasons, patient story = eh whatever!

So I'm still majorly peeved at the lame-ass way the writers killed off Kutner last week, and almost didn't even watch this. AND THEN IT LOOKED LIKE CAMERON WAS GONNA DUMP CHASE B/C OF HER SUPPOSED ~FEELINGS~ FOR HOUSE, and I swear to all that is sacred and holy, had that happened, I would be done with the show FOR EVER MORE.

What happened instead was actually rather consistent characterization, for Cameron of all people - I KNOW! (Then again, it should be said that Cuddy is this season's Cameron in that respect.) Anyway she scored major points with me last night, for the first time... possibly ever? Hee!

CHASE IS ADORABLE. Even when the cleanliness of his hair is bordering on "more than questionable". I'm sorry but he just is!

Also, House and Wilson, omg. WILSON! Seriously. That's just... *sighs* ♥ Haha, just for kicks before I started typing this entry, I googled "you manipulative bitch" and "I love you" together, because CLEARLY that was what House meant by it, and I wasn't surprised when basically all of the results returned pertained to this very episode of this very show. LMAO, ILU INTERNETS!

So in conclusion, I'm still mad about Kutner's ~exit~, Cuddy's still very much in meh-whatev' territory, but I enjoyed everything else, so... I might just see the end of this season after all. Huh!

Heroes, 3x23: 1961
If 3 x 23 = 1961
3x = 1961/23
x = 28.4202899

Anyway. For the first time in... uh, ever, I read the episode comments on TWoP right after I watched it. What a bunch of Debbie Downers! I genuinely loved this episode! I guess perhaps TWoP is just not for me, lols.

Claire standing up for Nathan was such a nice touch. She was pretty much awesome throughout this whole episode, and I'm very fond of the way she re-asserted herself at the end. I do still believe, at her core, she has real interest in helping others and that'll always be a part of who she is, but for now she just wants to be normal, and it's kind of sad that this has made her feel guilty, or less self-assured than she should be. (I will also say, those looks of utter pride and awe her fathers simultaneously laid upon her as she told them positively made my ovaries tingle. Ohgods.) <3

Loved Peter in this as well. I give him a bit of a hard time because of some grudges he chose to hold onto and his selective compassion (©[livejournal.com profile] caffeinified's husband), but he does make some good points and, perhaps on a more superficial level, I just adore the way Milo delivered some of those lines. "Look, we need some answers" is a favorite off the top of my head, just because of how fed up it came out. In same category, "you could've told us all of this in a restaurant!" LOLOL, over a nice lunch of oysters and champagne, mayhaps? Blasé Peter = yes please. More! (But I also don't mind giving pouty-face Peter a respite.)

ANYWAY! Peter/Mohinder came back like whoa! And you know, I don't know if I full-on ship them, but I really love their friendship for what it is. We got such nice character moments this week in their scenes. Oh gods, Mohinder's self-assessment and want for redemption... ;_; To be quite frank, I haven't enjoyed his character this much in a while and damn, that felt GOOD. Also, his hair. LOLZ. ♥

I don't know that we learned a lot about more about Nathan this week that we didn't already know about. He cares about Peter, about what Peter thinks of him, ditto Claire, he's ~seen the error of his ways~, wants to fix it, etcetera. Remains cute as hell, ESPECIALLY in that last scene when he's giving a new rendition of his "The Guilt, Don't Leddit Eachu" speech from Powerless to Angela. That grin! Awwwz!

Needs more HRG! All of his scenes were A+, and I'm really glad he and Claire will be working to repair their family. Oh, by the by, did you notice how HE IS OFFICIALLY INCLUDED IN THE PETRELLI FAMILY?! Awwwz. Omg, I know I'm being ridiculous with this, but that totally made me squee. How sweet. And I loved his scene with Mohinder, re:Chandra's motivations. It was really awesome.

Now, of course, the main point of the episode was the origins of the Company, and how Angela betrayed her family and committed all kinds of ~necessary evil~ for the ~greater good~. And it was more or less tremendously sad, omg. Even her whole thing with the frakkin' socks is kind of heartbreaking. :/ Umm. Also, Alice OBVIOUSLY needs to be back, if only so Peter can pick up that nifty power she has.

So let's talk about the past! Angela and Charles Deveaux totally had a fling, you know it! Now, if the universe has any humor left, Peter needs to find out about this and the thought has to cross his mind that Simone could have been his sister, haha! I believe that would be PRICELESS. >:D

Linderman was already a creepy creepster who creeps as a teen, eww. And wtf was that accent? lolol. Bobby Bishop, on the other hand, was a little bit adorable omgwhut! :o Now, you know what would have been totally fucking supreme? Seeing Adam amusedly lurking in that cafe would've been. fucking. SUPREME. Does anyone at NBC/Universal have something against TV's David Anders or something? 'Cause seriously. That would have been amazing.

NOW EXCUSE ME BUT I NEED TO ADDRESS THE GRAMMAR FAIL IN THIS EPPY'S DIALOGUE! omfg. You know when a foreigner picks up on it, the fail is really quite failsome.
"It's impossible, but it is!" = GRAMMAR FAIL
"You and I have made a mess of things" "Yes we did." = GRAMMAR FAIL
"Me and the boys are gonna sneak out" = GRAMMAR FAIL (though I suppose I can let this one slide because Angie was 16, and had presumably been out of school for months, lolol.)
Anyway, these are but a few examples. You get the point. WRITERS, YOU DO NOT NEED TO RUSH THE SCRIPT OUT THIS MUCH. JAYSUS.

Buttt! Episode was excellent overall and concluded with the first real HOSHIT YOU GUYS IT'S SYLAR moment we have had in metric eons, which was an absolute effin' DELIGHT! Ooooh! Can't wait for next week. :D

p.s. weekly poll is here, if anyone missed it ^^
