Bonafide OMFG moment: Peter getting shot by the healer kid. Hee! I was never in fear for his life, but that was still all sorts of awesome.
Nathanites Never Say Die
Wtf happened to the body anywayz?!??!
asfkjsl;a I don't even know what to say. I'm kind of fascinated by the amnesiac formerly known as Sylar.
I think it's great that he still has Nathan's memories - which btw really speaks to the efficiency of Matt's abilities - and displays some typical Nathan behavior. You can't make me believe Sylar or Gabriel ever were this much of a flirt with the ladies XD And at the same time, he's also experiencing reactions very reminiscent of Gabriel - his childlike recoil at the sight of all the violence and death he has apparently wreaked; and it should be noted he remembered his mother.
I like that he didn't succumb to the impulse to end Captain Lubbock (~*~Hunger~*~ or otherwise, heh). What trips me up is that getting shot at again didn't bring up any memory either of Mohinder shooting Sylar in "Parasite," or future Peter shooting Nathan in "Powerless."
Another interesting thing is that the "arguments" used by Samuel to seduce ~Sylar* might just as well appeal to Nathan. As established ad vitam before, at the time of his death Nathan was bent on redempting himself - and here Samuel offers a blank slate, all sins forgiven. Not only that, he promises an unconditionally accepting family - while Peter ignoring ~Nathan's calls for weeks on the heels of last volume could have been perceived by ~Nathan as his brother never getting past what had transpired before. And of course, easy loverly conquests of the female variety.
As for original flavor Nathan Petrelli, my heart continues to ache for blissfully unaware Peter who believes everything in his life is fine. ;_;
*He gets a ~ before his name as well now, because he clearly isn't himself, lol.
Mohinder Watch
Have you seen a sexy geneticist?
You know Heroes, Samuel is a pleasant orator in his own right, but we fans call 'em Momologues for a reason. -_-
Okay, cool.
(I begrudgingly liked this...)
I pretty much liked everything this week! That's a first this season, for those of you keeping score. ;)
The Noah/Peter story was fantastic, and the kid who played Jeremy did a great job. I hope we get to see Noah in more situations like these, where he can indeed be an asset to helpless and/or out-of-control supers.
I loved everything Peter did or said for Hiro, how he'd do all he could to help him through the "transition" (his word), and then how he went to all that trouble to try and save him. Because he's his friend (again, his word). ♥
And Hiro helping Emma come to terms with her own power made for some of the most precious scenes ever.
Elsewhere, Samuel is an evil mastermind of the highest order who I'm sure could challenge Angela Petrelli herself every day of the week and twice on Sundays. And I'm lapping it all up! BAMF.
I call shenanigans!
(... but let me tell you how you still suck.)
Needs more Mohinder. Needs more Hesam. Edgar, feel free to DIAF whenever. O hai screwed-up time line! Did I mention "needs more Mohinder"? And also needs more Pasdar. (LOL, like I even need to say this.)

Maybe the timing of Claire's visit to Noah was a little too convenient? I mean, I'm gonna let it slide for her cheery "Laundry day!" line, just because it made me want to sing Dr. Horrible again, which always feels me with glee. But watch it, writers.
I'm not sure how I feel about the magical blood not healing cancer. I guess what HRG said re:tumors regenerating isn't completely nonsensical, but then again, what are the odds of Adam never once getting a tumor in well over 300 years? And does that mean a cancer might just be the thing to kill Claire or Sylar? 'Cause that's just... bleak prospects, man.
RIP Winston Zeddemore. What a nice afternoon of family fun for his wife and presumed kids, eh? Edgar, shut yo face and get that mop your own lowly self.
Talking of lowly people, WAY TO GO LYDIA. What the hell? Maybe she fears any consequences of disobeying Samuel? Maybe she loves Samuel just that much? (Excuse me as I gag.) Maybe she's just a shameless promiscuous whore? SIGH.
This is where I reiterate my regret that Slow Burn isn't integrated in the main show. Those teases are nearly annoying out of context, yet I feel we're missing so much backstory and strokes of character for the carniefolk. (Yet I can't be bothered to watch the webisodes online. Hmm?!)
Hotass o' The Week
Half the reason I keep watching

This sexy desperado. Especially in this scene. (I picked this cap for the bonus lensflare, natch.)
HBIC o' The Week
Head Bitch In Charge
To the shock and horror of absolutely nobody, Samuel Sullivan! Please. As if anyone else even came close this week.
I'm starting to really believe what Mr. Knepper told me this summer. o_O
Ship o' The Week
lol romance?
~Nathan/blondes. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. :P
Best line
I may or may not quote this irl
"Oh, go away! I have no more brodd left, NO. MORE. BRODD." LOL <3 (Though it also made me think of birran! and I wept a little in my soul, FML.)
My favorite, though, was when Peter said "my friend is dying, and it can't wait." ♥ And I also loved ~Sylar's "I remember flying," for reasons that should be obvious.
Most burning question?
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!! *flails*
WHERE IS MOHINDER GODSDAMNIT?
Can the rest of the season be this good consistently until the end? :O
Overall,
I loved this episode through and through. Nothing felt forced, the plot moved along nicely, and we still got some great character(-building) moments. A+!

thoughts
The memories and why I don't think getting shot at brought up more memories is I don't think the guy gave him his memories back. I think he touched Sylar and got memories from his body and then showed him those memories, but he gave him nothing. Samuel did say the body retains the memories as well. and Samuel didn't say, "You want your memories back?" He said, "You want to know who you are?"
The family idea would also tempt Gabriel as well as Nathan. As we've seen with Season 3 and the Petrelli's.
I've watched Slow Burn and I get a big Lydia/Edgar thing from that and Samuel doesn't seem to like it. that might play into the whole Edgar being all pissy and Samuel kind of laughing at his mood.
Re: thoughts
That's an excellent point. And there may have been some manipulation there, too, like for instance Samuel telling Damian to only show ~Sylar the most gruesome memories?
The family idea would also tempt Gabriel as well as Nathan.
*nods* Definitely. And there was a time where Gabriel longed for absolution (forgive me father for I have sinned), so that would also apply to him as well.
That's interesting about Slow Burn and the carnies' dynamics. Maybe I should watch it at some point.

Yeah, that, but you know what else seriously pissed me off about that scene? That they suddenly decided to remember about the magical healing blood again. Either pretend it doesn't exist, or start using it. You can't forget about it when it's convenient and then bring it back up whenever you want to. I mean, okay, if it had just been Angela and Matt who made the decision to put Nathan in Sylar's body, I would've been fine with it. But HRG knows about the blood. It brought him back to life once! The fact that it didn't occur to him to give Nathan some of Claire's blood instead of taking the stupidly huge risk of letting Sylar live, is just ridiculous. IDK, last episode was actually the first time this season that I got upset with how bad the writing is. So far I've just been neutral, but that, the Sylar stuff (I'm sorry, ever since V3, I just can't look at him without wanting to throw up. Especially when he's being a w00bie), and the fact that they're now going to retcon the Charlie stuff, made me really angry. *is a total Debbie Downer*
In happier news, I think Mohinder's actually supposed to be in the next episode.

Here's hoping Mohinder appears tonight! Ugh, lol.

I LOVED Jeremy. Trufax. Can we keep him? Not only would it be nice to see HRG involved with peeps with abilities again, but it became blatantly obvious to me that the big thing this show is missing is young folk. We've dropped so many of them over the past few seasons and they were ALL inexplicably loved. Plus, you know, way to appeal to the teenage crowd. No wonder they're losing fans.
OH on the contrare, I actually DID think Peter died (thanks to me following your spoiler linkage earlier :P ) and found myself completely unhappy with that... until the point where I remembered that Peter has to die once at least every season, right? LOL
It's like the killing Nathan off at the end of every season thingThat was a very cool scene though, but Peter's hysterical laughter afterwards had me wondering if it was because he'd been healed or because he lived AGAIN. IDK.Um oh yes Hiro was all kinds of adorable. I was so championing for Charlie
did Jayma make it back? Because I really don't think that was her at the ep end...Oh and the thing with Claire's blood - I didn't think that they intended for it to make sense. I thought they just put it in there cause everyone's been bitching about why she couldn't heal
Nathansome people ever since the revelation all those years ago.Oh thanks for pointing out the Nathan/blondes thing. I was trying to wrap my brain around the Sylar/whore thing.
no subject
LOL, oops, sorry about that. :P I think they were shooting episode 11 12 when that spoiler of dooooooom came out, so if someone dies then you know it's forrealz. :\ Peter's hysterical laughter was because HE IS AN ADORABLE BEING OF ADORABLENESS. Trufax. No other reason necessary. :D
I don't know if that was Jayma's back last week, but I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing her tonight. *squeeeee* \o/
Claire's blood - I didn't think that they intended for it to make sense
LOL and isn't that a shame? For crying out loud... Heh. At least it was Claire herself who brought it up, not HRG.
Haha, ~Sylar whoring himself out to blonde ladies seems just so out-of-this-world nonsensical. XD

so good to see a post like this from you again hehe. LOL at kris allen's shirt. so true.
and YES! my hear aches for Peter like whoa. poor kid *hugs him*

You know, it just occurred to me that Present!Peter and Present!Hiro didn't really share that many scenes together. In fact, I can hardly think of one where they are talking to each other. But weirdly enough that didn't bother me in the slightest and I thought their scene was heart warming as well.

THIS! Hiro wasn't even annoying this week because of her.

As for the timeline shenanigans, I've given up all hope and expectations that they'll ever get it right, so... *epic eyeroll here* At least Claire isn't a 16-year-old college freshman, heh.
