For a brief moment there I thought I had this crazy cracked-out theory where Christian Shephard was really the head honcho of Dharma, but no. That's just too far-fetched and based on thin air, pretty much. Still. Who would see THAT coming?

(Also, it would totally make him the real Sawyer. Only, you know, in my head?)

I've been playing with that theory quietly for a while. I didn't say anything to my flist about it because I think it IS plausible. Especially considering his name, and all the religious symbolism we've seen lately. I'm trying not to think about it too hard, though, because I want to be surprised.

Yeah, it scares me a little, too. I wouldn't put it past the writers. And it'd be such a kick in the gut - poor Jack, and poor them all.

Christian being in charge of Dharma would be pretty cool.

Wasn't there a theory about Locke's father being the real Sawyer?

That would be incredibly awesome and bizarre. I hope that's not true now. XD But you could have something because isn't he, so far, the guy that each of the survivors have talked to? Okay, well, Sawyer, Jack, and Ana-Lucia. Are there more?

Not in so many words, no, but it is largely surmised by the fans. Allegedly, a scene or line of dialogue was cut from the latest Locke flashback eppy because it completely gave it away that, indeed, Locke's father was the conman behind James Ford's misery.

But this part I'm more iffy about anyways. I was just thinking, if Christian was able to get all these people on Oceanic Flight 815 without them so much as raising an eyebrow at him, he's one hell of a con artist. And so, immediate linkage in my mind.

How tragic would it be, though, for Jack and Sawyer to actually become great allies - or honest friends, as is suggested by Sawyer's own recent admission, and then have it all be shattered by the revelation that Jack's dad destroyed James's family? Guh. Kick-you-in-the-crotch, spit-on-your-neck fantastic.

Not that I'm aware of. (YET. Because John Terry absolutely has to show up in more backstories, I demand it! End parenthesis.)

But yeah, he literally TOOK Ana-Lucia to Australia, and TOLD her to go back. Then he pushed Sawyer James to go and kill that poor man, and possibly started a brawl in the bar to get him arrested and charterred back to the US. And could he lure his son down under and fake his own death just to ensure he too would board the Ocean Flight 815 of Doom? Let me quote directly from White Rabbit: (to 10-year-old Jack) "Everybody's looking at your old man to make decisions. And I was able to make those decisions because at the end of the day, after the boy died, I was able to wash my hands and come home to dinner. You know, watch a little Carol Burnett, laugh till my sides hurt. And how can I do that, hmm? And even when I fail, how do I do that, Jack? Because I have what it takes."

Creeps. Me. Out.

I think now I'm going to slowly step away from the computer and go to bed, maybe watch a little House, before I let myself think too deeply about this, LOL.

Dude, that's a good theory about Christian Shephard. I can't get the thought out, however, that Locke's father is the real Sawyer.

Want to KNOW!!!

Yeah, I can live with Locke's dad being the real Sawyer, and for now it certainly seems that way. But if the writers changed their minds about him, I'd be none too surprised. It seems right up their alley.

Hee! And I'm down with anything that involves more Christian screentime, really. ^__^
