These TV thoughts and musings are mostly jumbled up, so don't be looking for any sort of chronological sense. TV is awesome. And also, HUZZAH THE STRIKE IS OVER! Yays! Now, without further ado... Back to our regularly-scheduled (sort of) episode fangirling!

Lost, 4x02: Confirmed Dead

Miles Trom? Are you kidding me? Maelstrom, really? LOL. And he's a ghostbuster! XD That thing he used to talk to the ghost in his flashback, was that any sort of magnetic field alternating device?

I love that Team Locke doesn't at all question his vision of Walt after he shows them his GSWs. Um, WHAT? o_O

"For example, Jack would say 'tell my sister I love her'." HEE. Win. This means Dharma, Ben, the freighter people, whatever on high atop the thing don't know he and Claire are related. Yay! (Then again, if not!dead Christian Shephard is running the show, I guess that could make sense. Well, it's all relative. This is still Lost. ;))

Ack, poor Sawyer. Ben needs to learn when to STFU. But oi, the look on Sawyer's face, he was so frustrated. Heartbreak!

LOLOLOL @ Jack's wink to Kate. She was practically ROLLING HER EYES, lmao. And then when 'the cavalry' arrived, "wot? I gave you a wink! lolz!" ROFL.

Sayid continues to be awesome.

Also, I kind of love all the new peepz already. Even Maelstrom and his attitude, heh! And Naomi seems like she might have been kickin' all sorts of ass. DAMN YOU JOHN LOCKE.

Seriously, I can't believe how people can still follow/trust Locke, LOL. It's like in every scene I'm thinking, "Wtf, guys? The man is CLEARLY insane!" And I flail a lot.

Oh but you know who I love? Alex. And Karl. And also, how Sawyer was like, take a chill pill kiddo... I'll do the dirty job. D'aww. Remember last season when Karl was telling him about love? ASDKAK;GF!

Who else thinks Locke and Ben TOTALLY connived for the latter to shoot out Charlotte? That look Locke gave him after she said "vest!" was like, man, you FAIL at EVERYTHING. D:

I wants Desmundo. :( What are the odds we aren't going to be seeing any of the people on the beach for the next 357 episodes? :\

OH AND! THEY STUCK A MOUSTACHE ON GRUNNY! LMAO. That was low, JJ. Also, ILU. XD Damn, I can't remember the last name they gave his character. He was called Seth something. Can anybody fill me in?

I wonder WTF it is Ben did to Miles, Frank, Charlotte and Dan? (Did I say I heart Dan yet? 'cause I kinda do. Headcases = ftw. Ask Hurley.) 'Cause they didn't seem to have any pre-existing connection, before Abbadon brought them together with Naomi on that team... Oh b'duh, well there ya go, he ruined their lives. Obviously! Pfft, I hate Ben like burning and I hope he dies. And when he does, I'll do a little jig! :D

Speaking of which, Sawyer ilu, but goddamnit... Was this supposed to be Locke returning a favor? You know, from when Sawyer killed his dad for him? I mean, I guess it's moot now, but that would still hold some value, as far as character interaction goes.

"I've got a man on their boat." Dun dun duuuuuun? Meh, I say, MICHAEL YOU WHORE! (This is spec, btw. I still don't read any spoilers at all, so I don't want this confirmed or denied. Plzkthx <3 )

In conclusion: this episode lasted all of TEN MINUTES, amirite? Damn. Want moar! *grabby hands* Wake me up again in seven days?

Supernatural, 3x10: Dream A Little Dream Of Me

*shakes fist at screen* ARE YOU KIDDING ME WITH THE PCD PIMPIN' ALL OVER AGAIN? NOBODY CARES ABOUT THOSE SKANKY SCANTILY-CLAD GIRLS WITH LOW SELF-ESTEEM!!!1!

omgwtf Bobby?! Nooooooooooooo! :o Take him to Dr. House! lol Okay, good, the boys got him back. And! He's like a father to Dean. Augh! <3

Sammy getting drunk early in the afternoon = still trying to become more like Dean, Y/Y?

Dean needs to wear that green shirt he wore in the hospital after Bobby woke up all the time. Or, never again. Because it'll kill me. I mean, GUH HIS EYES!!

Oh, oh, angst-ridden self-hatin' alternate self? DEAN/NATHAN FIC! NOW! Also, somebody please make sense of the ending for me: is Demon!Dean out in the waking world with Sammy now? And if so, what does that mean for the real Dean?

Also, LOL SAM'S DREAM OF BELA. And then she walks in wearing the same coat and saying the same lines, heh. Oh, Sam. XD

I'm not down with the Papa W. dissin', though. :( Sometimes I like to think about what it was like for Dean and John when Sammy went away to college (not in a pervy way, I might specify) and it makes my brain go on the fritz from all the potential unsaid frustrations. 'Cause we know they're "no chick flick moments" hillbillies and all, but they must miss Sammy all the same, and you just know they would virtually NEVER talk about it/him. Anyway, my point! I know I had one... Yes. Dean has always known of his dad's shortcomings, and gods know they were great, but their relationship was still founded in love and trust. It does of course make sense, that Dean has a lot of bottled-up rage in him, because of everything John got wrong in his ways, but it pains me that even in some repressed corner at the back of his mind he would feel John let Mary die. I need a moment to wrap my head around that.

On a lighter note, I loved that Bobby mentioned Sam's "psychic stuff," because for a while now, whenever he's been in significant physical danger I have wondered, well what about his telekinesis? Now would be a good time to use it! So I hope there is more of that coming up.

In conclusion: I loved this episode and I love this season and I love the meta and why do I not own any of the DVDs yet?? It's a travesty.

I am not saying you said Locke and Jack were alike or anything, but just that they both had leader qualities that were very clear from the beginning, just differently used.

As for the Jack/Saywer thing; the fact that I like Sawyer does not automatically mean I dislike Jack. It's a simple reasoning I used because it's a general assumption in this fandom and I was too lazy to aleborate (seems I've archieved the opposite and have to explain after all :P).

The reason why most people use this argument is the whole Skate vs. Jate thing. I guess it's like Paire vs canon. People who like one, don't like the other (generally speaking, there's always exceptions of course). Now, I started to like Kate less than I did in S1 and S2 and this wasn't my original argumentation anyway so let me outline a few other things why I don't like Jack:

Same as Locke imho he changed too much in the wrong. I did originally like him, but started to care less about his character towards the end of season 2 and started to dislike him in season 3 because of the way he handled the whole Others thing, his jealousy towards Sawyer and the relationship with Juliet (which I just don't get at all and I don't like her either so errr... the fact he likes is probably part of the reason).

Oh and also: JEARS!!! GAH Seriously. He's just too friggin' emotional for my liking. I don't mind emotional outbursts, but this is every single episode, it's starting to annoy.

And I'm definitely not arguing that. ^^ In fact, their leader qualities complemented each other quite well in the beginning - when they were all pursuing the same goal. I just wanted to point out how long overdue I think this schism was, i.e. ever since Locke started following a different agenda than getting all of the survivors rescued off the island.

LOL, well thank you for explaining. I guess I'm not a fan of perpetuating general assumptions (even less so if they don't apply to me, heh). I can definitely understand those reasons better. I agree that in consensus, shipper status plays a great role in character perception.

It's something I try to detach myself from. Because, really, do I only hate so-and-so because I'd rather their *~perceived love interest~* belongs with another character? That seems fickle to me. Same goes for liking someone just because he/she and so-and-so would be *~sooooOOOOOOOooooooo cuuuUUUUuuuuuteee~*.

As it happens, on Lost, I like Sawyer/Kate and Jack/Kate about the same amount! LOL. I may lean more toward one than toward the other at any given time, but it varies greatly, and depends mostly on the writing - which I actually think has been near-flawless as far as this triangle's interactions goes.

I'm not a fan of Juliet either (and never mind Ana-Lucia *spits on her grave*) and I kind of block out Jack/Juliet as a result, heh. XD I never thought they had much of a romance to speak of anyway, and then she randomly kissed him for show, because she's an evil manipulator with a grudge against Kate (I bet). But Jack feels he's in love with Kate ("because I love you"), so as far as I'm concerned, Juliet can go bake an egg. :p Now just watch the writers prove me wrong and rub my face in it. Grr.

But it's funny you mention how your perception of Kate has evolved, because mine was the complete opposite! I hated her breathing guts throughout the first season, then it got a little better, and now it is a LOT better. I really like her now.

And LOL JEARS! I'll have you know, there were none in this episode. ^^ But I tend to agree, actually. Too much of a good (?) thing is overkill, and we are now way past that point. I don't mind it when they're justified ("White Rabbit," "All The Best Cowboys Have Daddy Issues," and "Exodus," to cite a few examples) but sometimes I just cringe like everybody else, LOL.
