I read The Little Prince last night and cried my little eyes out. How, I ask you, how has that book never been made into a movie? Seeeeeeeriously. Of course, it wouldn't live up to the book in a million years, and be a crying shame, and how dare they cast so-and-so in it, and all that crap. I'm not complaining, it just surprises me a lot. Maybe the rights holders aren't willing to sell a deal, in which case, more power to them. It would certainly make for a fascinating adaptation experience, though.

I have issues with that book, solely because I had to read it for A Level French, which it turned out, I sucked at. It was the year we moved, and I was sad, and depressed, and really *really* bad at French, and so I channeled all of that into hating The Little Prince. I still have my copy on my shelves and I glare at it every now and then. ;)

<---weird.

Read it again now. If English, if you so please. (Translations all over the net)

It's actually the kind of book that a sad and depressed person would understand, too.

Ohnoes, but it's such a pretty story! I do empathize with the trauma of moving though... I say, burn this copy and get a new one. ;p

Hehe, I'll try. I hated the French version more than the English, so maybe I'll just hide the French one and read the English. ;)

I could have sworn I'd seen a Little Prince movie. Maybe I'm making things up. But I know it wasn't a major motion picture or anything.

No, you're probably right. There have been adaptations, I just didn't bother checking before because I figured they should have been bigger projects, and thus I would have been aware of their existence. I'm just presumptuous like that, heh. XD

Aww, the Little Prince! I know I had that book when I was a kid, but I don't remember it at all. I'll have to see if I can find it somewhere.

:D

I've had it forever too, just never took the time to read it before. But I think it's one of those book that you can find meaning in, no matter at what age you read it. I hope you find your copy and enjoy it as much as I did. :)
