Heroes, 2x05: Fight Or Flight
Linear reactions this week, because I'm unpredictable like that. ;D
Yay, it's the return of Mohinder monologues! Yes, yes, I have missed those. And I loved this one!
Random trivia: Matt is 38. Ack, so cute with Molly. Mohinder, too. I don't much enjoy seeing the guys bitchin' at each other, but their motivations are sweet.
Are there really only 2 employees at Burger Bonanza?
Peter! Why's the flannel shirt gone? :o "Right. A guy who can throw 1,000 Volts out of either hand, settling for everyday life in a pub in Cork? I'm not sure it suits you." WORDY-WORD McWORDSON!
'kay, new drinking game amendment: take a gulp every time somebody says "You've/I've seen what I/You can do."
Heyyy, it's Veronica Mars, surprise surprise. Hee, her picture of Peter is funny. "I work for a company." Heh, no kidding. Now, for the big reveal that was so well kept under wraps... zomg she has electric hands. Didn't see that one coming. ;)
NATHAN LKJ;LKHLSJFASDFJA;LKJD. Scruffier than in Godsend, yet beardless. I die. Every time he appears on screen. "I'm not a cargo jet, Parkman!" LOLS.
Awz, Ricky wants to protect Peterfrom a girl. HA, TAKE ANOTHER GULP. That didn't take long.
Random thought: could Camille be a Company plant? How else would they get wind of Monica's power?
LOL at Matt, arriving in Philly completely unprepared to face the guy. One does wonder how he and Nathan got there from NY. Oh and ASD;FKALHKJAJASFDHLKFDALK;ADF NATHAN!! *dies* Hee, pep talk! "Get your gun out." AND THEN HE HIDES. XD Man, you gotta love the Parkman/Petrelli alliance. Their scenes are at once tension-filled (I mean, plotwise) and funny. Team Grundar ftw.
ADKJFA;KDHJF;LKJFA;A... I just died again. It was the shotgun. Guh.
LOL, I love how Matt kept taking his cues from Nathan. NOOO, don't uncuff him, nooo!
MICAH'S MAD PIANO SKILLZ FTW! Aw, he's so cute. That scene was so sweet.
LOL bluescreen!Ukraine. OMG MOHINDER YOU ARE WAY PRETTY BUT YOU ARE SO DUMB! Dammit, listen to Bennet for once in your life! He's so pig-headed - both HRG and Matt said to take Molly to hospital, but nooo. Let's trust the shady organization that abducts people and uses children for their own shady purposes. Seriously, guy DOES need babysitting. I volunteer one Matt Parkman for the job. Or Sylar.
Um, okay, no. Definitely Sylar. Jesus Christ, is it something in the water at the Suresh apartment? *facepalm* Oh, Matt. Anyway. Nightmare sequences were so freaking awesome. For the record, I didn't get one word the dream!prison guard said, lolz. But yay, 5YG-verse! <3
Maury's a total evil bastard. Freaky, freaky power. I do wonder how it works. Is he really a telepath, or is that just something he said to get Matt to trust him? If he actually is, and Matt can develop his skill to something akin to it, that's... a) confusing, re: the hereditary trait of any specific ability (or lack thereof) and b) quite scary.
Ando's hair is still fabulous and voluptuous. I kind of feel bad for JKL that he doesn't get anything to do but read the scrolls. Kensei is looking very cute without the costume and attitude. Kinda lost his funny, though. But oh, the cute! Irresistible. And, hopefully, the snark will be back next time.
Micah continues to be the most adorable kid ever. And yay for figuring out the hereditary aspect by himself! Also, tomato roses are soooo pretty. I don't think I'd eat it if I was ever offered one. ^^
Nooo, no, no, Mohinder! You don't leave your darling baby at the hands of a morally gray company and go running off to Louisiana. D: Greg Grunberg said something quite pertinent in the commentary that I hadn't considered before: while Matt sort of sees Molly as the family he's never had before, she's more of a sister figure to Mohinder.
WTF, JESSICA?? Didn't we establish she was gone for good?
Oh, Monica's power is so much fun! And THEIR SMILES OMG. Teh cuteness.
First time Peter painted with Isaac, it was pouring down outside, too. I wonder if this is anything to do with the scene at Caitlin's. His change of heart regarding the box seems sudden, but whatevs. WE HAVE A CANON BIRTHDATE, YAYS! For those who blinked and missed it, Peter was born Dec 23, 1979. (Aw, Christmas baby!) It was to be expected, but I got all frowny when he didn't recognize his brother. Loved Caitlin's worried look, though, LOL! So... Montréal, eh?
gabsy, better keep your eyes peeled. ;)
Heh, Elle is so much fun. BUT! Poor Ricky. I know he conned Boone & Shannon out a ton of money before those guys crashed on Craphole Island, but still. Isn't he redempted by his welcoming Peter to his family?
Multiple personality disorder, wtf. Beeman hints we shouldn't necessarily assume Jessica's back. I hope he has a point there. Frak, Mohinder is sooooo trusting. Niki is still off her rocker. How would the stupid company be able to contain Jessica when a padded cell in a high-security prison couldn't?
HAI NATHAN. Angst becomes you; you brood so prettily. Oh, his glee right there when he thought that was Peter. <3 Stupid evil nightmare. Aaaand: do we have slight hair discontinuity here?

haha, bitchface ♥ Not complaining, btw. Pasdar has such awesome hair, they should display its versatility. I approve of this. ^^
So, what was BurntBacon!Nathan trying to tell him anyway? "Everyone's dead because you." Um, yeah, but how about: no they're not? Anyhoo... the evil laughter was evil all right! XD
Janice looked downright ghostly. Poor Matt and poor baby. And, you know, when he comes home to find Mohinder has put Molly in the care of the Company, he's absolutely going to feel like he let her down. Cue angst.Cue tragic breakup? omg noes!
HOLY CRAP DREAM FIGHT OF AWESOME. Oh man. No words. How freaking awesome was that?
"I knew it was a con. I knew I couldn't trust him." O RLY? >_< Anyway... OMG THE CRAZY HAIR OF KRAZY on Pasdar in this scene. GLORIOUS. 100% glorious. I very much approve of this. This totally beat Mohinder in Five Years Gone, too.
Haha, Ando wants to know the rest ritenaoplz. "To be continued...", my friend! To be continued...
w00t, w00t, go Monica, watching all the right moves on TV! y hallo thar dr sureshomg ur so hawt. Kinda creepy though, just showing up on her doorstep way past the kids' bedtime. But this is Heroes, so she'll probably be like, "oh how nice! Come in, have some tea! >:D" And then people will start shipping the two of 'em together, even though he's like 11 years older, but who's counting? XD In fact I'm not entirely opposed. Somebody stone me now, pls.
Huh. Elle's car isn't a Nissan. I wonder what's up with that? XD More importantly: she has to come home to daddy after going to all that trouble... Mwaha, serves her right for deep-frying Ricky! But who's her Daddy, omg!?
"I can't hide anymore. I can't hide." CUE THE INVISIBILITY. Wouldn't it be funny? I haven't read any spoilers, so, I really don't know, but that'd be pretty ironic and lolful. I guess next time we see Peter and Caitlin they'll be in Canada? That's awesome. And much closer to New York. Yays! I wonder what's there.
In conclusion: it was nice to get a small reprieve from the Claire/West storyline. Besides that, as much as I love Sylar - and this is when a lot of you guys all start pelting me with bricks - I dare say I didn't at any point find myself thinking GIVE ME SYLAR NAO PLS! I suppose, much like last week, the episode was paced in a skillful enough manner that it never gave my mind the opportunity to wander on the side of the absentees. I was captivated throughout, and that has me really excited about the season in general.
Elle made an interesting debut - oh and did you all catch Kristen Bell's name in the credits? Full-on regular status from the get-go. Nice. I am very intrigued by Nightmare Man, and, strangely enough, Matt's situation with his son. When that kid gets born, I hope it's more than vaguely alluded to. I'm also hoping Niki's storyline has more to it than the return of Jessica, and I hope to gods somebody properly berates Mohinder for placing Molly with the Company, because, dang... Silly man. Also, team Kensei needs to defeat that army and come to the present day already.
I was BEYOND THRILLED by the team-up of Matt and Nathan. I thought all of their scenes worked really well, and I have to give props to the editing department for that dream fight sequence of win, but also to Grunny and Pasdar for infusing their exchanges with juuust the right amounts of buddy comedy. It's all so very lovely.
I'm omitting things left and right, willingly and not (more likely not), but suffice it to say: once again, I loved the episode from beginning to end. :D
Polls to follow later tonight.
Chuck, 1x05: Chuck Vs. The Sizzling Schrimp
It was awesome - despite the lack of Captain Awesome. And if Morgan annoyed me a lot last week, I was mostly OK with him in this episode. It's kind of heartbreaking seeing Chuck get pulled in every direction without him being able to do much about it. I like his and Ellie's relationship, 'tis a really sweet one. AND. Zachary Levi gets more and more handsome with every episode, I swear.
