adelineI'm gonna need a couple more moments on the polls, because for now all I have is ZOMG WHO SHOT J.R. OMG?!!?, but in the meantime have some scattered thoughts on the episode. I went scene by scene this week - no brainpower left for synthesis or coherence.
Heroes, 2x11: Powerless
Previously on Heroes - Claire: "Once the secret's out you won't be able to touch me or my family." Wonder if she includes her biological family in that. Heh.
Mohinder and Sylar. OMG *FLAIL FLAIL FLAILLL* The unsaid between those guys is driving me insane with glee. Lookit that FEAR in Mohinder, while Sylar is soooo sure. LMAO, "breakfast"! Aaand omfg that breakfast scene! Sylar's face as Mohinder's warning Maya that he's a murderer... guh: Zach ftw, I swear. And then the relieved SMIRK, haha. Awesome. How could we not love a villain like that? Honorable mentions: Mohinder WTF-face, and also his HOSHIT-face as he's being told he's surrounded by killers. This must be what going mad feels like meets oh god, oh god, we're all gonna die, we're all gonna die XD Now, I have to ask, whyyyyy is Mohinder's laptop not password-protected?Are we meant to take it as a statement of trust between him and Matt? LOLS, 'cause I will. OMG, Sylar's face again when Maya reveals he doesn't have his powers! FTMFW! And the knife/gun face-off, oh man! LOL, it's almost like a twisted version of Rock, Paper, Scissors (<--- I almost abbreviated that, but then the acronym would have just made things more confusing *g*) where Black Eye-Goo of Death > Gun > Knife > BEGD (b/c you can stab at eyes with a knife, yes? Idk, needs more thought... or not.) Oooh, I like it when Momo tells Sylar to trust him! <3 Maya's indignation on the other hand just made me LOL. The black eyes were very cool, however, except for poor Molly. :\ "Lead the way, doctor." HFLSKHAL.
Nathan and Matt and Angela. WEDDING PICTURE OF LOVE! I love that Nathan's FINALLY asking questions to his mom. I wonder though if her surprise when he tells her Peter's alive comes from the very news or just the fact that Nathan is aware of it. I mean, didn't they ever wonder how Nathan got to the hospital? Weird... Also, I'm still in love with the Pasdar, lol. For real. <3 I hope these scenes in this episode aren't supposed to completely wrap up the older generation storyline though. We still don't exactly who Angela and Arthur Petrelli really sided with in the end. Or beginning, for that matter. Victoria Pratt claimed they were bad guys, but at some point she and Angela were close enough to exchange promises... And now she tells Nathan she realized how wrong Adam's plan was just before it was too late. Clarification please. Haha, I do love that Nathan isn't taking all that shit at face value anymore - aah that little huff when he turns to leave! Luff ♥
Peter and Hiro and Adam. I resent Hiro's statement that Adam betrayed him. D: It was the other way around! How SO VERY COOL was Peter electrocuting Hiro by way of sword? Hee! Love the look on Adam's face when he sees Hiro passed out on the floor! AND HE STILL CALLS HIM CARP, D'AWW!
Claire and Sandra Bennet. Nooo, I don't want them to find themselves at odds. :( Poor Sandra feeling like she's losing everyone.
Elle and HRG and Bob. omggg Bob is such an ass. I can't believe he won't even give Elle like a drop of Claire's blood to heal her broken arm. <\3 My heart broke for her there, I have to say. And then when she finds out from HRG everything he put her through (AND ERASED FROM HER MIND, lest we forget), holy crappp. KBell totally rocked those scenes. And HRG HAS A TOBY BALL YOU GUYS!!! 'kay so this only makes sense to those of you who were also West Wing fans but hee, I geeked out. OMG EVIL BOB YOU NEED TO DIAF ASAP! You don't threaten Noah's Clairebear like that. D:
Talking of DIAF... Niki and Micah. Micah continues to be super cute and Niki continues to be be... eh. Led around by her cute Micah. Note to Niki: treatments have side effects. A virus has symptoms.
Peter and Adam Vs. Primatech security. LOL they were being SUCH showoffs with their telekinesis and sword and electric bolts. It was kinda Adamazing and kinda lolful also. Yes Peter, now is a good time to start asking questions - and he does so because Hiro warned him! Manipulating Peter using his loved ones though, well played, AwesoMonroe. Don't get why Peter didn't use his phasing ability to get into the vault, though. Oh well. Logistics.
Mohinder and Sylar and Molly and Monica. Haha, Maya is so Scorned Luvar about it all, I can't help but laugh. XD "There's a bed over there. Stay put, stay calm,and don't eat my cookie! and remember..." LOL DID I EVER TELL YOU HOW MUCH I LOVE SYLAR? Like, how he brags about his killing of Isaac? LOLS ♥ He just wants to be special, y'know? I could rewatch the rubberband/shirt removal scene ON LOOP FOREVER, omggg. I won't even try to put it into words. And Sylar making quips about the POETRY OF LIFE, mwahaha. This scene wins at it.
Elle snooping around in Bob's office. LOLOL, his password is actually MIDAS! For teh lulz!! XD And yay, she got her "Sylar! :o" shot. Awesome. And ROFL, they showed the picture of Bob and the fish again. I was mistaken before, that clearly wasn't a swordfish. :(
Monica and Micah and Niki. Okay, here's the deal. I love Monica and think she's an awesome character with good enough potential, and Micah pwns me with his all-around cuteness all the time, but I really, really thought that storyline was really, really lacking in, um, brains. Nice to see Micah use his powers, though.
Matt and Nathan landing at Primatech. ROFLOL WAIT WHAT?? MUST WATCH AGAIN. LOLOLOL I JUST REWATCHED IT FOUR TIMES OVER. Yeah, that was pretty much the definition of FTW! XD Even Matt's hair went a little Krazy, haha. And Nathan stretching his back = winnage. I bet that was another Pasdar insert, like the burned feet in the Nevada desert ("Hiros"), too.I'll be waiting on the buggy teeth now, plz mista Kring. "Okay. We don't talk about that EVER again." ROFL. Well hey, Parkman, you were the one who wanted a ride... XD Also, also, NATHAN TRUSTS PETER WITH HIS LIFE. Well, duh, but also: awwww! <3 Major yays for rebelling against the eb0l witchy Mama P, also! And Hirooooo, LMAO. "Flying man!!" \o/ Oh man, I miss the interaction between those too. The days of Morally Gray have returned!
Molly and Maya and Mohinder and Sylar. Molly's so adorable, offering to look for Alejandro... Poor baby, finding out he's dead like that. Maya should've known better so she doesn't get as much sympathy from me, especially when Sylar enjoys shooting her so much, LOL. His eyeroll just before totally makes the scene. I LOVE HIM. And golly (hee) do I love those three seconds where Mohinder discovers Sylar has the same strain of the virus as Niki! ♥♥♥ It reminds me of his epiphanic monologues in Parasite, where he was so carried away with the excitement of newfound knowledge that he had to ramble on and on about it to Sylar. XD And of course, here moreso than before, Sylar is deeply interested and it is just so awesome. It's only right Maya should get her comeuppance for interrupting, really. >_< ♥ Beyond that, I loved Sylar's reaction! (Oh and I def. speculated the Company injected him with the virus, way back in the Summer hiatus, even. \o/ I win at Heroes. Icould should write for Heroes.) Anyhow, I reeeally hope he seeks revenge on the Company; that would be so totally exciting! TRUST ISSUES!!1! LOL, YOU BET. Haha, and then he's like "if it works, I'll let you save me" as if it's a FAVOR. XD Which, knowing Momo, it actually is... Priceless. And Mohinder looks TERRIFIED. Bennets. Yay family reunion time! So awkward. Very hurried though... HRG clearly didn't have time to linger ("I have to go back with them," no hugs 'n' kisses) so I guess that makes The Fastest-Speading Hired Gun Theory just as likely as anything.
Back at Primatech. Man, that is a sturdy vault door. YAY NOSEBLEED ON PETER! I love all of those random shoutouts to me.(LALALA CAN'T HEAR YOU! Not over the sound of my blissful self-complacency. XD) Y HALLO THAR HIROKUN! Ohnoes, power happy Peter, you are birran! BIRRAN! :( Matt to the rescue! Mind control FT...L, heh. Haha, Peter's "IDTS!" was pretty freakin' cool. LOL, and hey, why have a verbal conversation when you can have a telepathic one, right? And looooolz at Matt's sleigh-less sleigh ride on the well-polished cement floor of the corridor. TK is so cool. XD Big lolz too at Nathan's random appearance in the middle of the hall, like he'd been standing there in wait, "I'll just wait here until something interesting happens, lalalaaaa." But I can easily get over this because SDHFA;KH HAIR OF WIN AND ZOMG CHEST HAIR AND "WHAT ABOUT ME, PETE? AM I ON THE WRONG SIDE, TOO?" HEE KDH;KAHD;KFH. The way this scene was edited is supremely wondersome, too, with the cuts between the Petrelli bros and the feudal Japan ex-BFFs. <3 I love that Hiro uses his teleportation so effortlessly now and I LOVE LOVE that he talks to Adam in Japanese. And zomg, their conversaaation! Just when I was ready to write off Adam as a stone-hearted psycho he goes and declares his love all over again. Argh! Not that it absolves all of his bastardry, but, y'know... And oh dear, now he's got a God complex to top things off. Swell. But I still think he's awesome regardless.
And then you know what I love perhaps even more? That Nathan a) sees right through Adam's manipulation of Peter BECAUSE HE KNOWS FIRSTHAND JUST HOW IT'S DONE and b) possibly manipulates him in TURN. Except it's okay for Nathan to use himself to manipulate Peter because, well, he's him. IT MAKES SENSE IN MY HEAD, OKAY? And it makes everything Nathan says automatic truth. And oh, the things he says! "That night at Kirby Plaza when I carried you away, it's because I believe in you. You're my brother, Pete. I love you." <33333
Poof, Hiro and Adam are gone! zooooooooooommmmggg virus vial falliiiiiiing, yay run runniiiiiing... run Pete, ruuun! That whole sequence was win, down to Sylar's escape and Mohinder's primary concern being that Niki wouldn't get her antidote.
Back with Micah and Niki, who have been driving around New Orleans probably for HOURS now. I thought Monica was pulling out her iPod to watch The Great Escape or an episode of Prison Break or whatevarz, but the cell phone makes sense too? I guess? *cough* And then Niki brings down a superpunch or three on the gangsta thug, which, wtf, I thought she didn't have her power? And then she rescues Monica and gets trapped in the fire and the building explodes. In conclusion: WTF? I thought DL's death was weird, but this takes the take. It's like TPTB actually read Niki!hate messages that literally said "SHE MUST DIAF!!" and thought eh well, why not? I expected her at least to die from the VIRUS, indirectly because of Sylar since he kidnapped Mohinder and stole the cure before it could be given to her. But DIAF'ing works too? I guess? *cough* So, if anyone was keeping records, the Shanti virus has now killed... a grand total of 1: Shanti Suresh. In case anyone was keeping tabs.
