adelineToday, I did nothing but watch Heroes. I am pathetic. I'm not done reading all of your reviews yet, but here are a few of my thoughts (under the cut), and I'll be posting the polls tomorrow.
Heroes, 2x06: The Line
Yay for Peter and Caitlin finally leaving Ireland! I can't wait for the fateful faceoff with Elle. The twist at the end looks quite promising and I look forward to finding out more about the mysterious Adam Monroe. Surely, they must wonder if the guy in the picture with Peter knows/is this Adam person? Oh and the bad greenscreen is really distracting. :/
Claire and West versus the eeevil cheerleader - mwahaha! I'll admit it, I LOL'ed! I still don't think West means good news, though. That evasive answer about his parents didn't ring quite right. Still the part where he flies after Debbie was hilarious.
Mohinder LOOKED SO HOT AGAIN omg. Monica's power continues to be impossible amounts of awesome. And go Mohinder, standing up for ethics! I kind of wish he had walked out on the Company though. I worry for Molly a bit. Oh, and his new partner? Please. Totally Jessica. Speaking of whom, Niki wanted to get rid of her last season yes? So if the Company had a way to remove one of her alternate personalities.. what if Jessica had them rid her of Niki? Anyhow. Still not sure what to think of Bob.
HRG and the Haitian in Ukraine - hello again bad greenscreen, please to not be overstaying your welcome, kthxbai. I love that they took some time to play tourists before interrogating Ivan, heh. I almost got seasick from those scenes because NOT ONCE was the camera held properly upright and it got nauseating after a while. (That's my one big complaint in the episode.)
Anyways. Ivan trained Noah and Claude, and don't the writers go thinking I don't know retcon when I see it. But hey, as long as it doesn't go against continuity... All right, moral of the story? HRG IS MORE BADASS THAN YOU. ALWAYS. Holy manatee. I couldn't believe it when he shot the guy. And that he knows exactly what he's doing kind of breaks my heart.
Also, the paintings! Oooooooooh, interesting! I'm glad they were all in one place, btw. Praise the Kring they weren't all scattered across the world. OH AND! Noah's ringtone: hahahahaha, I loves it. And and and! "Where we dyed the liquid man"?? iiiiiiiiiinteresting!
Meantime on the road across the Mexican border... n'aww, Maya is so OBLIVIOUS and poor Alejandro so suspicious, and Sylar sohot and manipulative and determined and deluded and OMG I LOVE THEM. Yes, all three of them. Unpopular as that opinion may be, I'm loving the whole storyline. Pretty sure I'm gonna stick to that opinion for a while too, even in the face of looming... shall we say interpersonal developments? I totally appreciate how trusting Maya is that Gabriel will lead her and Alejandro to salvation and adores him so much for it, while he just pushes her to make (more or less) gratuitous use of her power... And how cute is the way she says his name? But Alejandro's concerns are totally justified and I'm glad he finally told his sister what's what in regards to his half of their little kill-unkill routine.
I'm also beginning to think Sylar actually believes Mohinder could and would help him recover his powers. Wtf, bb? It's touching, in a way, but... eh, no, you know what? If the writers ever follow through on that idea, I'll be one happy happy fangirl for all the right reasons. Best not to question loose threads until then.
Back to the Rogue, or more specifically all around the Rogue, the greenscreen still grates greatly. LESS OF IT, 'PTB. I beg you.
And nooooow, Japan superdrama! Oh, boy. TEAM KENSEI FTW, I SAY! Bad Hiro. :( I resent how he wilfully takes credit for all of Kensei's achievements when we are well aware it was really him who slayed the 90 angry Ronins and retrieved the infamous scrolls. :/ And the princess-kissing most of all. I strongly resent the princess-kissing, especially after Kensei was just telling Hiro how he saved his honor by making him an honest man. Oh, my poor heartbroken Kensei-kun! Hiro better fix this mess and get back to the present soon, where he can reunite with Ando and be adorable like before. I can't say I blame Kensei for turning on him, cruddy as that was. Anyone else notice how, when offered whatever he could possibly want by White Beard, he only takes what's left of his dignity and leaves? I'll say it again, MY POOR HEARTBROKEN KENSEI-KUN. <\3
On a more amusing note, all the Japanese and Spanish and Russian make this show a very hard one to follow if you're not looking directly at the screen. (But how awesome is HRG for being fluent in at least two of languages? *fangirls him*)
In conclusion: it's interesting to see the spectrum of response on my friends list, but I for one am still very much feeling the love - and making no apologies! YAY HEROES!
