House was kind of weird this week.

I'll get it out of the way first and not come back to it: the writing was less than stellar and much of the dialog felt extremely forced. Bleh.

That said; House and Cuddy = excellent. :D

I really liked Cameron's storyline. Nice change, that. It seems odd that Wilson wouldn't even make an appearance, given the guy's CANCER and all, but, whatever. This is Cameron, after all. I'm glad she eventually acceded the guy's request, and I also appreciated that her husband was brought up again, I thought it fit nicely with the general theme of the episode.

Chase cracked me up when he advised House to keep the rape victim asleep.

The clinic = mad fun times! I hope we get to see a lot more of that. ♥

I thought it cute that Wilson would seek House out in the jogging park, in the middle of the day, and not even on a House-finding-and-dragging-back-to-work mission. Hee. Was there lecturing? I forget. I was distracted by RSL's cuteness. SO SUE ME.

The big reveal of House's abuse by his father? I'd figured as much. That's what reading spoilers will do for you. Nice bit of trivia with his Dutch grandmother, though. And hoping people will break legs, LMAO. "I'm evil." Heh. Yeah, you are.

I'll watch it all again tonight, because for now, the main storyline and how much it sucked makes this a crappy episode with bright highlights here and there. :\


Now, I have some Heroes speculation! Nothing huge, just a screencap-supported assumption about Claire's biological father, that may or may not all be chalked up to sloppy continuity.

The promo for Distractions shows a man's forearm and hand, while the voice-over teases on Claire's father's identity. It may thus be safely assumed that the body parts shown belong to him. See them below:





Because of the pricey-looking watch and ring, it might be easily inferred the hand belongs to Nathan. So, of course, obsessive fan that I am, I had to go and have a look at Nathan's watch. Turns out, it's not the same as above! Lookit:

Of course, he could have several watches. So let's have a look at the ring! I have no screen cap here, but take my word for it, Nathan's wedding band is nowhere near as wide as Claire's alleged bio dad's is. He does have a bigger piece of jewelry, but he wears it on the other hand. (I wasn't kidding about the obsession.)

Temporary conclusion: Nathan Petrelli is not the man shown to be Claire's biological father in the preview for Distractions. The mystery stays whole.

I would absolutely LOVE for it to be HRG. Think of the family angst! Ooh, the Claire-drama! Of course, every possible option leads to tons of it, but the new dimensions of betrayal this would entail? Take the big damn cake, no contest. I've more or less ruled him out because of the wrong watch color, but there might as well be nothing to it.

LOL, that's another definite possibility! And misleading previews aren't a new publicity device by any means, so we must expect it to a certain extent. It's funny because they make it sound like it's going to be this big shocking revelation, but after all of our theorizing and speculating, there's no way any of us are going to be utterly stunned. Unless it does turn out to be Matt, LOL!

Yeah we have so many people going "It's Nathan!" "It's Sylar!" "It's Linderman!" it would be just like them to pull the rug out from under our feet and go "HAHA guess WHAT? It really WAS HRG! NER NER!" LOL And you're right. She would fully let loose on him because he really did hurt his own daughter, and all that heartbreak he suffered would have been much more meaningful. And can u think, HRG backstory, maybe the fact he discovered this special woman and her child led him to delve into the supernatural-peopled business in the first place! So he could help his baby! *grins* Besides *whispers* I've just read 2 summaries that were exactly the same word for word except the last part - instead of saying that Claire takes her anger out on her "real father" the 2nd one said "HRG". Can I hope someone slipped up? (A)

Oh I do hope they are being incredibly misleading. What if it WAS Claude and that scene was flashing back to 17 years ago when they first lost her? He could have been all business-like before becoming a hobo... haha. You never know what's around the bend. But on one hand I do think they like us to speculate because we probably end up giving them story ideas and push them to keep ahead of the rest of us ideas wise. Honestly, I don't think I could be surprised by anything now, we've exhausted every possible option. It'd have to be absolutely HUGE to be something we haven't thought about.

And I've read the exact same summary with "adoptive father" at the end, LOL. Methinks NBC is knowingly screwing with our minds. One does wonder, though, what on Earth she'd have to be mad at Nathan about - he thought her dead all this time.

I really like the idea of HRG getting involved in this whole business of hunting down/studying the super-abled out of worry/fascination for Claire.

Probably cause he ignored her. I'm sure he'll see her only as a smear to his perfect campaign (like Peter). And not just the fact she's an "illegitimate daughter" but he'll probably hold the power thing against them too.

Yeah I'm thinking you're right on the money with that one. I can't remember what his exact words were to Isaac now LOL all I remmeber is him saying mommy was dead hence why I went.. "Er... WHAT? HOW?" at the spoiler. But anyways... it's kind of sad really, because I would have liked it to be HRG to show there really was a reason why he was so passionate about her safety.
